Hammond Harkins Galleries Ltd. presents Observatory: A Look at the World of the Artist, featuring Amanda Cook, Aminah Robinson, Michael McGinn, Paul Hamilton, Phil Selzer and Jeff Stahler. The Bryan Roberts Gallery features Mid-Century Modern Works from the Eames Era. This exhibit includes a selection of Scandinavian and American paintings as well as works on paper from the post-war period of 1945-1965. Capital University’s Schumacher Gallery is showing Personal Icons. Symbols serve as a means of personal and social identity. They are found in all cultures and express ideas about the natural and spiritual world. Such richly diverse symbols guide regional artists in their journeys of exploration and self discovery. Art Access presents Abstract Paintings which features Kentucky artist Patrick Adams and Columbus artists Ron Arps and Alan Crockett. Crockett, an Associate Professor of Art at OSU, explores the zany spirit and pallet of newspaper comics. Arps and Adams, both showing at Art Access for the first time, are both well known for their abstract work.
